Webcam Tool
Jobsitevisitor.com is pleased to announce our new Webcam Time-lapse Viewer. This new feature allows JobSiteVisitor.com to integrate construction webcams into our progress photography service. These webcam images are then organized and managed just like your other project progress photos. It’s another way that JobSiteVisitor.com is helping projects track progress and provide up-to-date information. This service can be found in our Ultimate Package that runs $30/month.
Here’s how it works:
Administrators will locate this “Orange Camera Icon” (image above) on their plan to identify the location of the project’s webcam. Through the “Webcam Admin” panel, JobSiteVisitor.com will provide you with specific FTP (File Transfer Protocol) information. Administrators will then have to have the webcam’s software FTP a photos with the unique name we provide to our web-address on a regular basis. The service allows project members to view the most recent image from the webcam and also gives them the ability to track progress using JobSiteVisitor.com’s unique Time-Lapse Viewers.
Almost all of the webcams that are installed on construction projects today have some type of software that allows users to control how the images are delivered. JobSiteVisitor.com now provides a portal for webcams to deliver images through FTP. We’re also developing a similar portal that would allow webcams to deliver photos via eamil. All of these integrations are in an effort to provide a more complete progress photo management system for our users.
Stay tuned for more information about JobSiteVisitor.com’s webcam integration.
