What Lawyers should know about JSV
All too often construction projects end up in some type of litigation and lawyers are brought in to resolve issues relating to delays, cost-overruns, construction defects and many other conflicts. Progress photos become an important tool for construction lawyers when it comes to resolving specific claims or issues related to the project’s “Critical Path” and “As-Built Schedule”. JobSiteVisitor.com is a construction progress photography hosting website that manages, organizes, and shares progress photos with the project team. This service conditions photographers to take progress photos from the same location on a consistent basis. Taking photos from the same spot each week creates the visual as-built history that is needed to resolve many construction related claims. JobSiteVisitor.com then uses image viewers to organize the progress photos in chronological order by week and by point location. This online service provides weekly job site tours and time-lapse history while providing visual photographic documentation of the as-built construction.

Putting your Progress Photos Online
We just finished a testimonial video featuring a few of our clients here in Denver, you can check out the video on our About Page. As I watched the video again and again during the editing process I started to think about one of the benefits mentioned by Ed Bushel, a Construction Manager, with Axia Construction that hadn’t dawned on me before. He mentioned how posting the progress photos online was a huge time saver for him and everyone else that used to get emails with progress photos attached. (more…)
Access Levels
I’ve had a few people ask me about the different access levels you can select when you’re inviting a new member to join your project. The service is set up with (4) different levels of access for viewing progress photos. The following levels are:
Paying Administrator: This is the person who is paying the monthly subscription fee. They can not be deleted from the project and has full access to all project administration.
Administrators: These are the people who are uploading photos and inviting members. They also have access to most of the administration features with the exception of the “Payment Section”
Full Users: This access level is designed for users who are directly involved with the project but will not be uploading or inviting members. Use this level for owners, architects, or contractors who do not need administration access. Full Users will have access to email, save, and enlarge photos.
Limited Users: This access level is designed for people you want to keep updated but do not want to give them full access to email, save, and enlarge photos. Use this level for subcontractors, vendors, or potential buyers who want to stay updated on progress but do not need full access to the progress photos.
