Aerial Photos – Helicopter vs. Plane
Aerial photos are a great way to document progress if you take them on a regular basis. I recently ran across the difference between photos taken from a Helicopter and those taken from a Plane. It’s important to understand the difference when you’re signing up an aerial photographer. I recommend aerial photos of buildings be shot from helicopters on all most all occasions. There will be some exceptions, there always are but if you’re considering aerial photos make sure they’re taken from a helicopter.
I have a project that requires aerial photos once a month. On our shoot date we had a problem with the helicopter and because we were pressed for time we decided to shot the project from a Plane. The next month things were back to normal and we were shooting from the helicopter again. There is a clear difference between the two images. When shooting from a plane you have to fly much higher which causes a longer shot in order to get the same isometric view as you would from a helicopter.

Resizeimage.org – FREE Photo Resizing
If you are in a rush and need to compress a photo and don’t have access to your regular photo editing program use ResizeImage.org.
It’s not necessary to to use this service for uploading photos to JobSiteVisitor.com because we don’t have any file size limits and we also take care of the compressing on our end. Some sites won’t let you upload files that exceed a certain size so I can see where it would come in handy however don’t waste your time doing this for photos you’re uploading to JobSiteVisitor.com. You might as well just wait as the large image to uploads to our site rather than upload-compress-save and then re-upload using Resizeimage.org.
I do like this tool and can see how it can come in handy when you’re in need of a quick compression or crop out at the job site. The other great feature about this service is that it’s FREE.
