CSU – AGC Student Chapter

CSU Construction Management SchoolI traveled up to Ft. Collins this evening to present my service to the AGC Student Chapter. When I walked into the Gugenheim building that houses the construction management school I could immediately see why CSU is one of the top Construction Management programs in the country. I was extremely impressed by the amount industry support I saw hanging on the walls. When you step into this building it makes you want to get involved with construction. I think we need more of this type of involvement between schools and the industry. If you’re ever up in Ft. Collins and interested in seeing what I’m talking about peek your head into Gugenheim hall.

Anyway, this was the first time I had presented to a large group of people. Things went well, there is a lot of room for improvement but I feel like I have a good starting point.

I’m excited about working with universities. These students get the social networking and user generated content aspect of the internet. They understand how a service like this could be valuable to a project. Lately I’ve been sending out too many un-answered solicitation emails about the service to CEO’s and senior management. It’s all about talking to the right people. I may find that students are the ones that take this product from the classroom into the field.

Thanks to Jeb Bair and the CSU AGC Student Chapter for having me up.
